The Thang:

  • WARMUP
    • Light jog & Stretch
  • BACKPACKING a 2 mile loop w/weights in bag
  • Along the loop we stopped every 3 mins for an exercise:
    • Incline pushups on bleachers
    • Tridips on bleachers
    • 1 min Plank
    • Walking Lunges
    • Squats holding onto rail
    • Burpees
    • Duck Walk (front, side, backwards) up Holy Hill
    • Step Ups at the Playground Wall
    • Side-to-Side Standing Crunches
    • Run Hill
    • Jumping Jacks
    • Run downhill
    • Crunches
    • Repeat as many of the above exercises along the 2 mile loop until arrival back at the Chapel
  • COOL DOWN
    • 5 min Stretch & Inspiration
  • CLOSE-OUT
    • FNG’s, Circle of Trust & Name-O-Rama

Inspiration:

“You make known to me the path of life; you fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Ps 16:11

We lived out that verse during today’s workout! God makes our path known… he didn’t say it would be easy or painless or without challenges. We fear the unknown but God makes it known for us. TRUST HIM! Today’s path was difficult – ups and downs, repetitions of painful exercises, fears of finishing the challenge, exhaustion, etc. BUT guess what?! During all of that, we had joy! We laughed! We encouraged each other! We saw God’s creation in the sunrise over the lake and observed the beauty of his promise. We met others along the path who wanted to know about our group… not because we were in pain or exhausted, but because we reflected His Glory! We represented unity, joy, and endurance. That’s GOD y’all!
